Archie's Wedding with Veronica

Archie's Wedding with Veronica

The 67 year old love triangle of Archie comics has finally been broken, after Riverdale's ultimate Playboy Archie Andrews picked the vixen Veronica over girl-next-door Betty to be his wife.
So much for the element of surprise. Last week, comics fans were buzzing over a storyline planned for the 600th issue of Archie Comics, in which Archie Andrews, the perennial youth of Riverdale, would finally propose to either his longtime girlfriend, Veronica, or his longer-time girlfriend, Betty. (The character Cheryl Blossom, a relatively recent entry to the Archie lineup, wasn’t in the running this time.)
But on the official Archie Comics blog (a Web site that we acknowledge we occasionally visit for work purposes), the publisher has already revealed the identity of Archie’s fiancée:
It’s Veronica:

Archie Comics

Archie Comics is an American comic book publisher, known for its many series featuring the fictional teenage Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle and Forsythe "Jughead" Jones characters by publisher/editor John L. Goldwater, written by Vic Bloom and drawn and created by Bob Montana. The characters were based in part on people the three knew, including Montana's friends in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and people met by Goldwater "in the midwest".[1]
